If there an error during the installation appears that states something about an "illegal operation attempted on a registry key that has been marked for deletion" the local group policy may need to be edited. During my attempt to install and use the application on Windows 7 I encountered a few errors which I have included in the steps below along with their resolution. The solution is CitrixQuickLaunch - actually designed for administrators but still usable by standard (savvy) users. Don't know why I never searched the Citrix forums before but after doing so found out that Program Neighborhood has definitely been eliminated from current client installs.
